Tuesday 19th March 2013

A blustery day.  Received an email from Rosana confirming our appointment for Wednesday at 11am at La Carlota.

Paul and I had another discussion regarding what we had heard and seen in Cordoba yesterday, and pinpointing the areas to investigate further and being realistic about what is obtainable.  Just as in the UK how the Estate Agents perform is variable - and you have to take what they say with a pinch of salt.  Because now we found that our criteria is actually possible with one or two tweaks!

We also decided that it maybe worth staying at the lovely Hotel Abetos (where we stayed 2 years ago) as an overnight stop, to reduce the travelling time, fuel, and thus make the most of the day.

So a day of cooking snacks and lunch, bread, pasta and packing clothes for a prompt departure the next morning.  All the kids helped a little with the preparation.  But also to get the used to it, they had a schooling session.  Aston watched one of their DVD's but in Spanish.  Ethan and Corrine had 45 mins of Maths and then 45 mins of Spanish with a little test after - just to make sure that they did what I asked!  I give them credit because they did actually sit nicely at the table and get on with it - even Corrine who sometimes finds it difficult to focus on the task at hand. Proud of my children!  I wonder if it will continue when we move and the novelty wears off??
